Broughton Nature and Wildlife Education Area is 500+ acres of woods, trails, streams and ponds with a picnic shelter, cross country courses for Marietta City Schools and Marietta College teams, disc golf course and other amenities available to the public. Marietta City Schools hosts the Elizabeth S. Broughton Cross Country Invitational every August. The “park” is managed and maintained by The Broughton Foundation.
Tax-deductible gifts to the Broughton Wildlife and Education Area Fund help support improvements, educational activities, environmental study and outreach projects.
Our affiliate, Broughton Commercial Properties, LLC specializes in developing customized building spaces on 55 acres of our 600+ acres of property. The company provides customized Morton Buildings and will customize or build-to-suit to fit the needs of its tenants. The campus consists of twenty plus buildings and continues to grow.
Marietta High School Rowing is based in the Carl L. Broughton Boathouse on the west bank of the Muskingum River. Tax-deductible gifts to the Carl L. Broughton Boathouse Endowment Fund are used to improve and maintain the Boathouse which is also used by the Harmar Rowing Club and the Marietta Rowing and Cycling Club.
